Ukrainian authorities have reported that a recent wave of drone and missile strikes launched by Russia has resulted in significant casualties, including the loss of at least nine lives and leaving dozens more injured. This attack comes shortly after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a caution regarding the likelihood of a large-scale assault by Moscow.
On the night of the attack, Ukraine’s air force revealed that Russia had deployed an extensive arsenal of 656 drones and 73 missiles aimed at various locations across Ukraine. The Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, was particularly affected, with Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirming that at least four individuals were killed and 58 others, including two children, sustained injuries during what he described as a “mass enemy attack.” He urged residents to seek shelter amid ongoing explosions throughout the city.
In the central city of Dnipro, Russian forces targeted civilians, resulting in five fatalities and wounding 25 individuals, several of whom were reported to be in critical condition, according to Dnipropet
